As part of the marketing promotion for the launch of the Bunz web client and app, t-shirts were designed and given away to the first 500 people who registered.
I signed up right away, but sadly was not a winner.
The limited number of shirts meant they had instant cachet and desirability, as collector’s items. I wanted one badly, and so did a lot of other Bunz.
A month later, this post happened:
I jumped on the opportunity and contacted the poster.
We settled on a Governor General’s Award finalist, a Pulitzer Prize winner, and a Booker Prize winner.
A hefty price for fashion, but covetousness can be a very powerful force. Sometimes you can’t deny it. And yes, the meta-nature of trading a t-shirt about Bunz on Bunz has not escaped me.
Hooray Bunz!
