Obsolete electronics have a small but discernible niche in Bunz. Every so often somebody needs to use an outdated or abandoned media format, and puts out the call for equipment:
The original poster managed to find a microcassette player, but one of the commenters also needed a player, which I was happy to loan:
She was going to use it to retrieve recordings of her father. That was kind of sweet and sad.
In return, I told her to surprise me. She gave me this:
Well, it’s just a loan so I wasn’t expecting much! I'm constantly scratching out notes to myself so these will come in handy.
Though it did take forever to get the player back eventually. That’s a risk of loaning stuff out. Shrug. I just assume, naively perhaps, that it’s all in good faith.
