Trades 7 and 8: Triangle trade! Shoe rack for tall can for Family House scrapbook

My first triangle trade! Incredibly satisfying, somehow, even though it wasn’t for particularly high-value goods. What’s a triangle trade, you ask? Keep reading to find out.

My front hall has been a disaster for a long time, with shoes heaped up in a messy pile. Then I saw this:

I knew immediately I wanted this rack—not too big; just perfect for my space. I didn’t have any snacks to trade, and I’m a teetotaller, so I would have to do a 2nd trade to get a ‘tall can’ to swap.

What did I post?

Another curbside find: DJ’s Full House Family Scrapbook. I have no idea why I took it home with me, but I certainly did not need it!

But would anyone else want it? Apparently yes. A Bun wanted it as a gift for her daughter, and agreed to trade me a tallcan:

With the beverage in hand, I then made my way over to the original poster’s place, and received, to my delight:

Lovely!

Three parties benefited from this exchange, which makes it even more fulfilling: I got my shoes organized; another bun got a beer and some free space in their apartment (instead of the rack winding up in the garbage or recycling); and the third bun—well, see for yourself:

That’s a triangle trade. Everybody wins!
