Trade 39: Mouse for tallcan and Skittles

I could never stand the Apple Mighty Mouse (model #A1152) that came with my iMac. Instead, for close to a decade, I have used the venerable Dell Optical Laser Mouse as my desktop computer pointing device.

Solid, no-frills, with a nice heft, this budget wired mouse has a satisfying clicking action, a shape that fits my hand, and it generally gets the job done.

Fancy and expensive gaming mice are just not in the cards for me—I’m too cheap to spring for one. But I started thinking that I ought to have a backup mouse handy, in case my workhorse ever fails, and also for travel use.

And so my quest for a 2nd mouse began.

I decided to bid for this Logitech M100 mouse. My offer? One tallcan (from Trade 15) and a handful of Skittles.

I was over-generous with the Skittles, but when you have a ton of them, they’re easy to dole out.

As for the mouse—it was a mistake to trade for it: I don’t like it. While perfectly functional, it’s too light, and as a result feels cheap and flimsy. Even the click action seems chintzy.

I’m pretty sure I’ll re-trade it at some point. If I can find a buyer, that is.
